Staying Motivated

No matter how well we’ve set our goals and planned out our schedule of weekly tasks, sometimes we just wake up and feel quite down and unmotivated. For those of you who almost always has it together, keep it going! But for the rest of you readers procrastinating and putting your tasks on hold, we’re here to provide you your daily dose of motivation so you’ll always stay inspired and have your creative ideas flowing 24/7.

  1. Start your day on a positive note by doing something you love first thing in the morning. Whether it be drinking a hot cup of coffee or reading a few pages of your self-help book, you’ll be able to get yourself productive, with a smile on your face.
  2. Create a to-do list for your weekly goals. Even the simplest, smallest task like “buy art materials” will help keep you focused and enthusiastic.
  3. Declutter your workspace by organizing your pens and art supplies into your Punchdrunk Panda Organizer and Pencil Case. Put your phone away and on silent, and have all your work essentials in front of you. Having a tidy desk usually helps you think more clearly.
  4. If you’re feeling low and sleepy, play some upbeat tunes or music that inspires you to get up and working.
  5. If music can’t keep your eyes wide open, take a 20-minute power nap.
  6. Exercise. Whenever you feel uninspired to complete your tasks for the day, take your duffle bag with you to the gym, do easy stretches or run the treadmill for about 20-30 minutes to release stress, rejuvenate your body, and get your mind energized, focused, and motivated.
  7. Take a walk in the village or have a relaxing lukewarm shower and let your creative thoughts run through and reset your mind.
  8. Remind yourself of why you are working toward your goal by listing down your reasons for doing what you are doing -- whether it be to get a degree, to get fit, or to earn yourself a comfortable living. Put that note where you can see it every day to always get you productive and inspired whenever you feel unmotivated.
  9. Perhaps you set your goal too high? There’s nothing wrong with starting small and taking baby steps. As long as it constantly motivates you to do better, you’ll eventually reach your goal in full bloom.
  10. It helps, too, to have your best friend with you to make whatever you’re doing less stressful and more enjoyable.

  12. Collect as many motivational quotes, place them in a jar, and take one out whenever you need a creative boost.
  13. Learn to reward yourself whenever you complete your tasks. Give yourself a quick break when you feel like you deserve it, go on a relaxing vacation, and come back to your office with renewed enthusiasm.
  14. Surround yourself with pe ople who inspire you.
  15. Lastly and most importantly, let go of whatever it is that keeps weighing you down -- a bad habit, sleepless night outs, or people and activities that are toxic to your life.
